My Dad was taken into hospital on Saturday afternoon with a chest infection, and died peacefully in the evening about 8pm. Our younger daughter Helen, John and myself were with him. We are sad, but happy that he did not appear to be in any pain.
I'm not sure when I'll be updating for a while - we have so much to arrange in a short time.

Maggie, I am so sorry to hear about your dad! At least he was able to spend the last few days with your mum, and passed peacefully.

What a sad end, but at least he was able to be with your Mum and his wife for his last few days.
As you say it is sad but at that point a sort of compassions steps in for the person you love and you know it's for the best.
